McIntosh may make Arbroath debut

Leighton McIntosh will be in the Arbroath squad which hosts Ayr.

McIntosh has been brought in on loan from Dundee as a replacement for Steven Doris who has returned to Dens Park at the end of his temporary spell at Gayfield.

Experienced front man Graham Bayne left the club this week while Michael Travis is suspended and Connor Birse is absent with a knee injury.

Ayr's only absentee is central defender Martyn Campbell who has a hamstring injury.

Visiting player/ manager Mark Roberts' objective for the game very clear.

He explained: "We have been inconsistent but we have maintained a top-four position throughout. The best way to keep on doing that between now and the end of the season is to win games and that is our intention starting at Arbroath.

"They battled hard to get a win over Stenhousemuir a fortnight ago and played well at Rangers so we need a top performance to win. A repeat of our 3-0 success at the start of this campaign would be a terrific afternoon's work."
