Arbroath boss Dick Campbell ready for tough test against Annan
Arbroath manager Dick Campbell will be without captain Mark Whatley due to an ankle injury when they host Annan.
Campbell is expected to make changes following last weekend's 3-2 defeat at Clyde, saying: "We lost a game that we should have won, and I am still disappointed by it.
"At 2-2 we were well on top and looked the more likely team to score, but we then lost a goal from a punt down the park by their goalkeeper.
"Annan will be difficult opponents and I need to put out a team that will win games and not lose games we should have won."
Annan manager Jim Chapman is hoping that Steven Swinglehurst and Ryan Finnie can shake off knocks.
Athletic lost to league leaders Forfar last weekend but Chapman saw enough to be encouraged.
"It was a good performance against a team that has won five games in a row in our league," he said. "It confirmed to me that there is not a lot between the teams, but that Forfar are playing more consistently than the rest.
"We encouraged them by making defensive mistakes, and if we can avoid doing that at Arbroath we have a chance."
