Josh Skelly in line for Arbroath debut

Arbroath manager Todd Lumsden includes his new loan signing from Dundee, striker Josh Skelly, in his plans for the visit of Annan.

Craig Johnstone remains out with a knee injury but Sergio Alvarez returns after a hamstring problem.

Lumsden said: "I watched Annan lose 4-2 to East Fife last weekend and reckon that was a reaction after doing so well in the Scottish Cup against Hamilton. We have to be on our guard for them responding to that defeat by putting in a strong performance against us.

"I am delighted to get Josh added and he looked really sharp in training. He may just be the surprise package we need to win."

Annan welcome back Matty Flynn after a ban, with manager Jim Chapman also including Steven Swinglehurst and Bryan Gilfillan following injury to give him a full squad to choose from at Gayfield.

Chapman said: "I could easily blame the snowy conditions for our defeat last weekend but that would only hide the fact that we did not play well. League Two is a really competitive league and we were a bit off the pace and paid a heavy price.

"As well as losing last weekend we have fallen down the rankings in the league table. We will be looking to bounce back by winning at Arbroath."
