Arbroath down to bare bones

Arbroath will be without defender Ricky Little for the visit of Annan through suspension.

Ryan McGeever (ankle), Liam Gordon (hamstring), Adam Hunter (ankle) and Dylan Carreiro (illness) are also ruled out, while Kieron Stewart is a major doubt with a knock.

Gayfield manager Allan Moore has recalled Kieran McWalter from his loan spell at Lochee United to help out with Moore saying: "The title is out of our reach so we have to secure a play-off place and look for promotion that way.

"If we can win we will ensure that Annan cannot catch us however they will see this as an opportunity to increase their chances of catching us."

Annan could also be low on numbers at Gayfield as knee injuries have ruled out Iain Chisholm, Kieran Brannan and Matty Flynn, while Jack Breslin misses with a foot problem.

Andy Mitchell, Peter Weatherson and Kenny Mackay will all face fitness tests, but Steven Black could return after serving a ban.

Manager Jim Chapman said: "We may have to put out a team that looks weakened on paper but I am sure that the players will be fighting hard to prove that will not be the case.

"There are six teams still fighting for one play-off place and we need to defeat Arbroath to keep our interest alive. It will be tough but we are determined."
