Carriero back for Arbroath

Arbroath welcome Annan in Scottish League Two and manager Allan Moore has a full squad to choose from, with Dylan Carreiro expected to return to his starting line-up.

Moore's men were held to a draw by bottom-of-the-table Elgin in midweek, but the Red Lichties boss looks upon it as a point gained.

He explained: "We were away from home on a heavy pitch against a side playing their first game for a new manager so it was not the worst result.

"At the same time Annan were beating Albion Rovers which is also a very timely warning for us."

Annan manager Jim Chapman will be unable to pick his side until Saturday lunchtime as he is giving David Hopkirk and Peter Weatherson as long as possible to recover from the sickness bug that has seen them miss training this week.

Steven Swinglehurst and Stuart McColm are over recent knocks, though a lack of game time may see them miss out, with Kenny Mackay still unavailable due to a knee injury.

Chapman said: "We played well against Albion Rovers in midweek but we did manage to give ourselves a couple of unnecessary scares.

"The last time we played Arbroath we ran them close so we can go there with confidence."
