Problems at the back for Arbroath

League leaders Arbroath have defensive concerns ahead of the visit of second placed Albion Rovers.

Ricky Little is out with a toe problem, Kevin Nicoll will be absent with a groin injury and Scott McBride is suffering from a gash on his foot.

Ryan McGeever has been added to the squad on loan from Falkirk, with manager Allan Moore also hoping to sign Craig Watson from Hamilton in time for the game.

There was some good news for Moore as striker Simon Murray, who was sold to Dundee United at the beginning of the week, has been loaned back to Arbroath.

Rovers player/manager Darren Young continues to be absent due to a groin injury, while Kyle Turnbull (ankle) is also out. However, Jamie Pollock returns to contention after a suspension.

Ahead of the match, Young said: "This is a massive game in our season and it is one that we are really looking forward to. We are heading to Arbroath on the back of two wins and two games that were secured by good performances so I cannot ask for any more than that.

"Arbroath are a good side but we beat them at our place in the last meeting and it would be terrific to cut their lead by winning at theirs."
