Morrison sidelined for Rovers clash

Arbroath, who have won only once in eight league games, entertain Albion Rovers with goalkeeper Scott Morrison struggling to make the game due to a a wrist injury.

Midfielder Danny Rennie is a doubt with a leg knock as Gayfield boss Paul Sheerin looks for the right blend that will give him a consistency from his side.

Sheerin said: "We have been patchy this season in terms of performances and that is because we are inconsistent during games. We have spells when we are very good and other spells when we struggle.

"We need to hit a high standard and stick there.

"Albion Rovers gave us a going over at their place when they won 4-0 and they beat Ayr in midweek so we will need to play well to win."

Bottom of the table Albion Rovers will be without on-loan Partick Thistle striker Christie Elliot as they look for a second win of the season.

Elliot starts a two-game ban after being dismissed during the 2-0 victory over Ayr on Boxing Day.

Defender Michael O'Byrne is also out through an ankle injury, with Coatbridge manager Todd Lumsden telling his men that they can transform their season with a run of good results.

Lumsden said: "We are just two wins away from fifth place and that is how we should be looking at things as opposed to thinking that we are at the bottom of the table.

"The players stuck together against Ayr and we will need that same approach against an Arbroath side that will be out for revenge."
