Arbroath warm-up with rout

Arbroath limbered up for the play-offs with a timely return to form by beating Berwick 5-0 at Gayfield Park.

All the goals came in the second half as the Red Lichties recorded their first win in eight matches - and their first under newly-appointed manager Todd Lumsden.

Kyle Wilkie, Ben Miller and Darren Lavery threatened for the visitors in a first half which saw Arbroath struggle to hit their straps.

Lumsden's men soon found their way after the break, though. Robert Linn stroked home the opening goal after 52 minutes and then set up Simon Murray for the second before the hour mark.

Murray poked home again in the 67th minute and substitute Thomas Grant's free-kick made it 4-0 with six minutes left.

Richard Little completed the rout after 89 minutes with a rising shot from the centre of the penalty area.
