Arbroath hit back to snatch point

Arbroath and East Fife shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw in Ladbrokes League Two.

The visitors dominated the first half, Pat Slattery's early strike troubling home goalkeeper Allan Fleming before Scott Mercer set up Jonathan Page to open the scoring in the 11th minute.

The uncertain Fleming fumbled Kyle Wilkie's effort, but Andy Munro's effort against a post gave Arbroath something to cling to going into the second half.

Martin Grehan was at the centre of their resurgence, first firing over the bar from his own half and then diverting Darren Ramsay's corner to Craig Watson to head in.

Fleming denied Nathan Austin and opposite number Ryan Goodfellow saved from Andy Ryan and Jamie Clarke as time expired.
