Chris Smith goal enough as Clyde overcome Arbroath
Chris Smith's early header was enough for Clyde to claim a 1-0 win at basement boys Arbroath.
The defender, a summer signing from Stirling, nodded in a Chris Mitchell corner after nine minutes to claim his first goal for the club.
Arbroath, who suffered a fourth defeat in five league games, saw Andy Ryan's free-kick saved by Clyde goalkeeper John Gibson, who also foiled Darren Ramsay.
Opposite number Allan Fleming prevented Sean Higgins from doubling Clyde's lead before Arbroath were denied a point in injury time when Craig Watson's header hit a post.
