Brechin hold on to see off Arbroath
Bobby Barr netted the only goal of the game as Brechin bounced back from successive defeats with a 1-0 win at struggling Arbroath.
Arbroath goalkeeper Scott Morrison had to be at his best to keep out Ewan Moyes' header in a quiet opening but he was unable to prevent Barr from opening the scoring in the 39th minute with a low left-footed drive.
Robert Linn fired a good chance over the bar and fellow midfielder Paul Sheerin hit a long-range effort just wide as the home side pushed for a second-half equaliser.
Arbroath were ultimately frustrated, though, as Brechin extended their winless run to 11 league games.
