Red Lichties extend advantage after win Arbroath extended their lead over Stranraer at the top of the Third Division to four points following a comfortable 2-0 win over Albion at the Cliftonhill Stadium. The Red Lichties also have a game in hand on their nearest title rivals. Steven Doris did the damage against play-off hopefuls Albion with a goal in each half. The 12-goal striker converted Lee Sibanda's right-wing cross from close range to give his side a 19th-minute lead before doubling the lead with a similar finish from Adam Strachan's cross in the 54th minute. Strachan, Gavin Swankie and Alan Benton all had chances to add to the scoreline but Albion goalkeeper Thomas Flynn did well to keep the score down.
