Sunday Mail:   Fourth-placed Forfar are still in the play-off hunt and boss Dick Campbell said: “Now it’s between ourselves and Arbroath.

“We’ve been playing well but the goal we lost? It has been happening all season.”

Brechin City 2 Arbroath 0   Goals in the second half from Andy Jackson and Gerry McGlauchlan put Brechin on the verge of a play-off place – but Arbroath’s chances were severly dented by this defeat.

City boss Ray McKinnon, who is looking for one more point, said: “This is testament to the hard work and endeavour the players have put in over the season.”

Arbroath manager Paul Sheerin said: “It’s very disappointing to lose. It looks as if we’ll have to win all three of our remaining games if we want to make the play-offs.”
