Lichtie fans long in the tooth may recall great seasons over recent decades.
The heroic early 1970s when we competed effectively in the old First Division, the promotion and Div 1 seasons around 1997-2002 were memorable
But i seriously doubt whether any have ever seen a calendar year like 2011, at least in terms of results. We played 38 games over the period and won 22 of them, losing only 7 along the way.
An entertaining 89 goals were scored and 56 conceded. of course the first title in 133 years was the icing on the cake.
And we even broke our longstanding run of poor cup results to earn a plum home tie with Rangers.
Dare we expect anything close to this in 2012 or will normal service be resumed
