Cox brace keeps Annan top
A brace from David Cox eased Annan Athletic to a 3-0 victory over East Stirling as they stayed top of the Third Division.
Steven Sloan put the home side in front with 10 minutes gone, collecting a cross-field pass from Graeme Bell and drilling the ball into the top corner.
Bell was again the provider with the assist for Cox to finish with a header at the near post, and soon after Cox scored his second with another near-post header, this time following a cross from Sloan.
The visitors did improve in the second half, but they remain bottom of the league with only one win so far this season.
