Clyde up to second

Clyde pushed themselves up to second in Division Three with a 2-1 victory over Annan Athletic.

Kevin Watt gave the home side a deserved lead with his second goal of the season, finishing well from inside the area after Bryan Gilfillan's flick-on.

The hosts' keeper Jamie Barclay did well to deny Scott Chaplain from close range but he was powerless to prevent Annan drawing level through Greg Thorburn, just before the hour mark.

The substitute had only been on the field for seven minutes before collecting Kieran McGachie's pass and firing into the top corner from 20 yards.

However, Clyde regained the lead just three minutes later as Chaplain headed Steve Masterson's cross into his own net, securing all three points for Jim Duffy's side.
