Annan bid for back-to-back wins without leading goalscorer Weatherson

Annan will be without top goalscorer Peter Weatherson for their home game against fellow promotion chasers Stirling.

Weatherson (ankle), Jack Breslin (foot) and Steven Swinglehurst (hamstring) are all sidelined and Bryan Gilfillan is struggling with a knock, but Steven Black and Jordan Morton are both available again.

Manager Jim Chapman said: "After two disappointing results it was good to win last weekend at East Stirling. It was a hard-fought success and we need to keep that approach going.

"Especially as we face a Stirling side that will be determined to win again after two disappointments of their own."

The Forthbank visitors are without Kevin McKinlay and Scott Buist due to respective hamstring injuries while Craig Comrie is sidelined through illness. Aurelien Mazel is doubtful.

Assistant manager Martyn Corrigan has urged his players to move on quickly from their midweek defeat to Clyde.

Corrigan said: "To be a goal ahead and then lose to two penalties, which were debatable in our opinion, was difficult to take.

"We have to move on quickly and going to Annan gives us a chance to do that.

"We drew with them at Galabank earlier in the season and then won the next meeting at our place, so we know that we can do well."
