Peter Weatherson misses out in clash between two teams with a point to prove
Annan will be without top goalscorer Peter Weatherson for the visit of Montrose due to an ankle injury, but new signing Kevin Nicoll is available.
Steven Swinglehurst and Steven Black are out with hamstring injuries, with Jack Breslin absent due to a foot problem.
Montrose suffered a 7-0 defeat to Stirling in midweek, and Annan manager Jim Chapman said: "There is always a danger associated with a wounded animal and Montrose will be wounded by that result.
"That will be dangerous and we have to play better than we did when we lost to Morton in the Scottish Cup last weekend to win."
Montrose will have the same squad as they start their recovery from the Stirling horror show, with Paul Watson remaining out with a groin injury and Ross McCord still absent following knee surgery.
Manager Paul Hegarty said: "After looking like we could go on a good run we fell off the horse in quite a spectacular fashion. It is a case of getting back on it as soon as possible.
"It will be a test of character for the players but they will hopefully show a positive response.
"Bouncing back will be all the more difficult as Annan feel they have something to prove as well after losing 4-1 to Morton."
