Brydson to take charge again

Euan Brydson will continue to take charge of Annan against visitors Elgin City as they step up their search for a new manager in the wake of manager Harry Cairney's resignation.

Brydson will be missing defender Peter Watson through suspension as well as David Murray who has a foot problem and Graeme Bell who has a long-term groin injury.

"The response from the players last weekend at East Stirling was good and I am looking for that to carry on", Brydson said.

"We went down to 10 men quite early but played some good stuff and could have nicked a win at the end.

"Elgin are one of the top sides in this division so we need to show that same level of commitment and desire in this game."

Elgin make the long trip south without defender Jamie Duff, who remains out with a knee problem.

Graeme Beveridge and Craig Gunn are both struggling to make it due to illness.

"I was very pleased with our first half performance against Rangers last weekend where the boys were outstanding, however this game poses a very different challenge," manager Ross Jack said.

"It is on a different type of surface in front of a smaller crowd and we are facing a group of players who will want to impress any potential new manager so have to show the level of endeavour we did against Rangers.

"It is a long round journey to make and hopefully we will be coming back up the road with the three points."
