Annan aim to maintain home success

Annan entertain Clyde at their Galabank stronghold with manager Harry Cairney set to recall defender Steven Swinglehurst and winger David Murray after the fit-again duo played in a reserve game in midweek.

The Black and Gold's will, however, go looking for their fifth home win without John Watson and Graeme Bell, who both remain out with knocks.

Cairney said: "We have been unbeaten at home in the Third Division all season and want that to continue. It was disappointing to lose at Berwick last weekend to end our run that took us into a play-off place but a win over Clyde would be a great win to bounce back.

"They beat us at their place earlier in the season so we have a few good reasons for winning this game."

Clyde have defender Gavin Brown suspended as they look to end a run of seven league games without a win which stretches back to their last meeting with Annan.

Michael Oliver is struggling with tonsillitis and John Neil has been added as cover, with manager Jim Duffy hoping to land a loan player ahead of kick-off to bolster his ranks.

Duffy said: "We had a good result against Annan earlier in the season but that counts for little in this league.

"Most games in the Third Division outside of the Rangers ones are settled by the odd goal and hopefully it will be us who comes out on top in this one."
