Chisholm handed further chance to impress

Out-of-form Annan will include trialist Iain Chisholm once more as they welcome Berwick to Galabank.

The defender has appeared in the club's last two fixtures and Jim Chapman, who is still waiting for his first win as manager, is expected to hand him another start.

Chapman has extended Daniel Orsi's loan spell from Queen of the South, but is without the injured Peter Watson (thigh), Harry Monaghan (foot) and Graeme Ramage (knee).

Steven Sloan and David Hopkirk will both undergo fitness tests ahead of the game, as the Black and Golds look to end their six match winless run.

Chapman said: "The players have worked very hard during this spell and the breaks will soon come their way. We are a bit short of numbers but we will do well if we can cut down the number of individual mistakes that have been getting made."

Berwick have Kevin McDonald available for the trip.

The midfielder has served his suspension and is expected to return to the side in place of Steve Notman, who sits out his one-match ban.

Dylan Easton is a major doubt as he continues to be troubled by his ankle. The forward missed the midweek win over Elgin after being forced off the field during the defeat to league-leaders Rangers last weekend.

Long-term absentee Dene Droudge remains sidelined due to a knee injury while a back problem keeps Marc Lancaster sidelined.

Berwick lie five points adrift of the play-off places and have won just twice on their travels this season.

Boss Ian Little said: "We need to earn more points away from home to get into the play-offs and picking something up at Annan would be a great start to doing that."
