Annan up to second after impressive win over Arbroath
A clinical performance from Annan saw them claim a 4-1 win against Arbroath and move up to second in Ladbrokes Scottish League Two.
Josh Todd had already gone close when he fired Annan in front after 22 minutes. A superb strike from Peter Weatherson came back off the crossbar to Todd and he slotted home.
Their joy was short-lived, however, as Arbroath equalised three minutes later through Jamie Reid's fierce drive from the edge of the area.
The goals kept coming as Annan regained the lead 60 seconds later. A mistake from Arbroath goalkeeper Allan Fleming left Lewis Guy with a simple finish.
Todd made it five goals in his last three matches with a neat strike to make it 3-1 before Mark Whatley was denied a second for Arbroath as Jordan Hart pulled off a superb stop.
Annan sealed victory with a late fourth as Smart Osadolor saw his first attempt clawed out by Fleming but he smashed in the loose ball.
