Fraser leaves it late to rescue point for Montrose

Gary Fraser struck from the penalty spot in stoppage time to earn Montrose a 3-3 draw at Annan in Ladbrokes League Two.

Matty Flynn looked to have wrapped up the points for Annan when he put the hosts 3-1 ahead at Galabank in the 74th minute, but spot-kicks from Ross Campbell and Fraser in the closing stages rescued Montrose.

Annan fell behind after 32 minutes as Montrose's Fraser saw a shot saved by Blair Currie and Adrian Mallagaray put away the loose ball.

But Ryan McStay put Annan level in the 43rd minute when he drilled into the left corner, and they led from the 57th minute when Flynn was fouled by Neil Martyniuk and Bryan Gilfillan converted the penalty.

Flynn looked to have made it comfortable for Annan after smart work from Smart Osadolor.

However Campbell's 82nd-minute penalty made for a nervy finale, before Ben Jago was sent off for hauling down Campbell, with Fraser making the spot-kick count.
