Peter Weatherson comes off the bench to salvage a draw for Annan

Fit-again top scorer Peter Weatherson salvaged a 3-3 draw for Annan after they had earlier let a two-goal lead slip against Clyde.

Josh Todd's brace had Annan seemingly in control at half-time, the midfielder taking Martin McNiff's pass and cutting inside to fire the opener before doubling the lead on 30 minutes.

Lewis Guy appealed in vain for a penalty which could have finished the game off but instead it was Clyde who struck on the hour mark, Scott Linton's long pass headed in by Sean Higgins.

Scott McLaughlin struck the equaliser and the turnaround was complete when Higgins poked home his second from close range in the 72nd minute.

Annan boss Jim Chapman responded by introducing Weatherson with 10 minutes to go and the veteran delivered the goods, curling a superb 25-yard free-kick into the top corner five minutes from time.
