Borderers snatch points at Annan Promotion-chasing Annan succumbed to a 3-2 defeat at home to Berwick. Berwick striker Damon Gray opened the scoring with 17 minutes played by drilling a shot down the centre of the goal from inside the box after good work from Steven Notman. Gray grabbed his second a minute before half-time by putting the finishing touches onto a neatly-worked move by curling a shot past Craig Summersgill from 12 yards. Berwick opened up a three-goal margin eight minutes after the restart when Darren Gribben pulled the ball back from the right byline for Paul Currie to steer home. Annan pulled one back 10 minutes later when Bryan Gilfillan struck a 20-yard shot beyond the reach of Ian McCaldon after being laid in by Chris Jardine. With 10 minutes left Sean O'Connor drilled in David Cox's cross from inside the six-yard box to give Annan hope but Berwick held on for victory.
