Annan see off Queen's
Annan consolidated their position in the play-offs after beating fellow promotion-chasers Queen's Park 2-0 in Scottish League Two.
Defender Anthony Quinn came close to an opening goal for the visitors but his header from Sean Burns' corner was well saved by goalkeeper Alex Mitchell.
Mitchell then did brilliantly to touch Shaun Rooney's header onto the post as Queen's Park ended the first half strongly.
However, it was Annan who went ahead after 50 minutes when striker Josh Todd lashed high into the net from six yards after being picked out by Peter Weatherson.
Weatherson doubled their lead nine minutes later after his brilliant 25-yard lob left goalkeeper William Muir stranded.
Annan almost added a third late on when Rooney's powerful 20-yard drive whistled past the post as the hosts comfortably saw off their visitors.
