Annan up to second

Teenager Josh Todd's second-half winner helped Annan move into second place in Scottish League Two following a 2-0 victory over Peterhead at Galabank.

Todd, signed from Carlisle in September, claimed his fourth goal for the club - but first at home - in the 62nd minute with a right-footed finish into the bottom corner from 12 yards.

Annan doubled their advantage 10 minutes later when Ryan McGeever - who was immediately substituted - headed an Andrew Mitchell corner into his own net.

The victory was no more than Annan, winning at home for the first time in four league games, deserved with Kenneth Mackay, Steven Swinglehurst and Martin McNiff all going close.

Peterhead, whose three-game unbeaten league run came to an end, rarely tested Annan keeper Kenny Arthur, with Bryan Gilfillan having their best effort.
