Weatherston brace sinks Annan
David Weatherston helped Stirling earn a huge three points in their bid for a Scottish League Two play-off place with a brace in their shock 2-1 win at title-chasing Annan.
Despite the home side having the better of possession and chances in the first half, it was Stirling who took a surprise lead through Weatherston's third goal of the campaign.
It was deja vu in the second half, with the away side doubling their lead as Weatherston scored again from Phillip Johnston's cross. A double substitution by Annan boss Jim Chapman with 15 mins to go seemed to work immediately as Blair Henderson got the home side back into the game to reward their dominance
The defeat for Annan leaves them eight points adrift of league leaders Peterhead, while Stirling remain in the final play-off spot, two points clear of Berwick.
