McKechnie wins it for Raith

Jordan McKechnie's third goal of the season sent East Stirling three points clear at the top of Scottish League Two after they beat Annan 2-1.

After an even start the Shire went in front just before the half hour when Iain Thompson converted from the penalty spot following Peter Bradley's foul.

Annan were quick out of the traps in the second half though and needed just four minutes to level, David Hopkirk finishing from close range.

But their joy was short-lived as Michael Herd set up McKechnie and he finished coolly just 90 seconds later to restore the visitors' lead.

Martin McNiff could have levelled for Annan, but headed wide late on as the Shire go clear of second-placed Stirling.
