Good Day for Stirling

Stirling leapfrogged Annan with a 1-0 win at Galabank.

Greig McDonald's side climbed up to seventh in the table with their first win in four games.

Stephen Day grabbed the winner after just 63 seconds, heading in Kieran McAnespie's free-kick from close range.

Stirling almost doubled their lead on 18 minutes when Scott Davidson's audacious lob from 35 yards narrowly missed the right-hand corner.

Scott Chaplain had a chance to bring Annan level on the stroke of half-time, but the midfielder fired over from the edge of the box.

Jordan White came close to putting the Binos 2-0 up eight minutes into the second half when his free-kick rattled the Annan crossbar.
