Albion missed out on the chance to close the gap on the leaders after a goalless draw with Annan.
The hosts started the night three points off the pace but could not break down a resilient Annan side with the best away record in the division.

Both sides struggled to find top gear and Chris Boyle`s mis-directed free-kick summed up a poor first half.
Kevin Neilson scored Annan`s winner in their last match at Montrose but even his six-yard header was wayward in the 80th minute.
The visitors looked happy to settle for a point, although all three would have sent them level with their opponents.
