Altrincham turned in a resolute display to secure a valuable point away at play-off chasing AFC Wimbledon.The visitors edged a dour first half, Chris Denham going close with a 30-yard drive and Dons keeper James Pullen saving a Nicky Clee shot. Altrincham took the lead early in the second period when Derek Duncan fouled Denham in the area, and Chris Senior scored the resulting penalty.
