Densmore is big miss for Altrincham

Altrincham will be without Shaun Densmore as they prepare to host Burton in their FA Cup first-round replay.

The right-back, 24, will serve the final game of a two-match ban after receiving a straight red card in the 2-1 defeat at Solihull.

Former Preston defender Scott Leather deputised for Densmore in Saturday's 3-0 FA Trophy victory at Worcester and is in line to keep his place in Lee Sinnott's starting line-up.

Carl Rodgers is a major concern for the Robins boss, as the midfielder faces a race against time to shake off a hamstring injury.

Rodgers was substituted moments before half-time at Worcester with a problem first sustained in the 3-3 draw at Burton, and is a major doubt.

Sinnott has no other injury or suspension concerns going into the clash, as the Blue Square North side eye up a giant-killing performance.

Burton could have Jacques Maghoma back in their ranks. Maghoma missed the league defeat at Cheltenham on Saturday through a combination of illness and injury but boss Gary Rowett hopes to have the midfielder back in contention for Thursday's clash.

Maghoma was one of Albion's goalscorers in their great escape at home to the Blue Square Bet North side 10 days ago when they had to come from 2-0 and 3-2 down to salvage a 3-3 draw with an injury-time equaliser from Calvin Zola.

Rowett will definitely be able to call on Damien McCrory, the left-back being available again after serving a one-match suspension.

The trip to Lancashire begins a run of three games in six days for Burton. It is followed by home league matches against Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday and then Aldershot on Tuesday night.
