Altrincham likely to have same squad for Barnsley tie

Altrincham manager Lee Sinnott looks set to have an unchanged squad for the FA Cup visit of Barnsley.

Winger Ryan Crowther returned after a bout of flu against Torquay last weekend but the likes of Stuart Coburn, Shaun Densmore, Tom Marshall and Andrew Parry are still not ready to return.

Joint-leading scorer Michael Rankine, who alongside George Bowerman has netted five goals so far this season, is expected to be sidelined for some time with a hamstring problem.

But Sinnott can call on Sam Heathcote, Joel Swift, Rhain Davis and Ioannis Stouppis should he wish to make any changes to his starting line-up for the first-round tie.

Barnsley pair Conor Hourihane and Marley Watkins could both return to contention.

Midfielder Hourihane has missed the last five games due to a hamstring injury, while striker Watkins (ankle) has been sidelined for four matches. Both players returned to full training on Thursday and could feature.

Winger Ryan Williams remains sidelined as he continues his struggle to overcome a long-term groin problem and injury has forced on-loan striker Kadeem Harris to return early to parent club Cardiff.

Goalkeeper Adam Davies (groin) returned to the starting line-up in the midweek defeat at Coventry and is expected to continue, with Nick Townsend on the bench.
