Cawley at the double for Alloa

A Kevin Cawley brace helped Alloa to a 3-1 victory at Queens Park.

Cawley's first came on nine minutes when he latched onto Ryan McCord's pass to fire home from 12 yards.

His second, after 28 minutes, was stunning. McCord fed Cawley, who curled a wonderful effort into the top corner from outside the box.

The away side almost hit a third after 74 minutes, but Steven Howarth's left-footed drive was tipped behind by Neil Parry.

But Alloa got the third with six minutes left when Michael Doyle converted Howarth's left wing cross.

Queens Park managed a consolation two minutes later through Anthony Quinn, who slammed his shot home following good work by Jamie Longworth.
