Michael Chopra absent as Alloa seek first home win

Alloa will be without Michael Chopra when they face Raith this weekend.

The veteran forward is missing due to an ankle injury as his side look to secure their first home win of the season.

Manager Jack Ross said: "We have taken a few knocks recently as despite being more competitive we have not won as many games as we would have liked. We are facing a test of character as not only are we looking to get off bottom spot, we still have to win at home this season.

"No-one wants to be part of a squad that goes a full season without winning at home so we will look to change that starting against Raith."

Fourth-placed Raith will be without Iain Davidson after the midfielder suffered a head injury in the midweek success over Queen of the South.

David Bates (calf), Scott Robertson (groin) and Lewis Vaughan (knee) are also ruled out.

Manager Ray McKinnon said: "We have a small cushion at the moment in terms of a play-off spot, however there is a long way to go. We are a side that are looking far more dangerous in attack now but nothing has been achieved and we need to keep working hard.

"The last time we played Alloa we lost. That shows how difficult this game will be."
