Jim Goodwin misses out for Alloa
Alloa's Jim Goodwin is suspended for the visit of Peterhead for the opening game of the Ladbrokes Scottish League One season.
Manager Jack Ross has no injury problems to contend with as he looks for his side to build on their Betfred Cup run of four wins from four games.
Ross said: "Things went as well as we could have wished for and to finish with a win at Raith Rovers to top the group was a great boost.
"We now face a very difficult game against a Peterhead side who will be one of the sides who will challenge for the title. This match will help give us an idea of where we are in terms of being ready."
Peterhead captain Simon Ferry will be unavailable through suspension.
The Blue Toon include striker Rory McAllister after he rejected a move to Dundee United in favour of a longer contract at Balmoor.
Manager Jim McInally said: "Rory preferred the security of a two-year deal with ourselves as opposed to a one-year deal at Dundee United. I am sure that clubs in League One will be disappointed by that news but the matter is closed now.
"We move on to what will be a really tough opener to our league season. Alloa have assembled a really strong squad and are quite rightly the favourites for the title."
