Alloa wait on Simmons

Alloa will give Stephen Simmons a late fitness test ahead of the game against title-chasing Dundee at Recreation Park.

Defender Jason Marr is again ruled out with a thigh injury for the hosts.

Manager Barry Smith said: "The result of this game is very important to both Alloa and Dundee. We have to ensure that we look after ourselves and get the points we need to be safe in this league.

"The players are working incredibly hard to get there but we lost goals last week at Cowdenbeath at the start of each half. We need to ensure we start properly in this game as Dundee will be well up for it."

Second-placed Dundee are without the injured Kyle Benedictus (back) and Steven Doris (groin) as manager Paul Hartley returns to Recreation Park for the first time since leaving the manager's job at the Wasps in January.

Hartley is not looking back as he said: "I had a good time and was successful at Alloa, however it is all about Dundee now. We lost to Morton last week but we have not spent any time dwelling on that as there was little wrong with the performance.

"The one thing we did not do was score goals but hopefully we can out that right. It is all to play for."
