Wasps captain stung into action
Alloa skipper Darren Young will be available for the first time this season against Cowdenbeath.
Young has missed the beginning of the campaign with a calf injury and his return leaves midfielder Iain Flannigan (ankle) as the only absentee for Wasps boss Paul Hartley.
Hartley is determined that his side win this game and create a six-point gap over their visitors.
He explained: "There is a league within this league made up of the three part-time sides. One of our aims this season is to win that mini league.
"Defeating Cowdenbeath and moving six points ahead of them would be a great place to be for the long season ahead."
Cowdenbeath will be without goalkeeper Grant Adam.
Adam must serve a one-match suspension after being sent off against Raith last weekend so Thomas Flynn will play between the sticks.
The Blue Brazil have David Cowan available after a knock and Thomas O'Brien is also included after a ban.
"We lost last Saturday but there were plenty of positives about our performance, particularly in the final third of the park," said Cowdenbeath player-manager Colin Cameron.
"Alloa are a good solid side with plenty of experience but if we can attack like we did against Raith, but defend better, then we have a good chance of winning."
