Alloa sign off from Championship with home draw
Relegated Alloa waved goodbye to the Ladbrokes Championship with a 1-1 draw at home to Dumbarton.
Isaac Layne handed the hosts the lead in the seventh minute when he turned smartly in the box before tucking a shot into the bottom corner.
Dumbarton pressed for a leveller with Tom Walsh forcing a save from Scott Gallacher and the goalkeeper making a better intervention to deny Steven Saunders.
Gallacher was beaten six minutes into the second half when a kind bounce fell for Donald McCallum who stroked home the Sons' first away goal of 2016.
Kevin Cawley hit the post for the visitors while Iain Flannigan and Robbie Crawford narrowly missed the target for Alloa, who drop down to League One on the back of a five-match unbeaten run.
