Aldershot Town manager Gary Waddock thought the changes he made to his starting line-up for the weekend win against Wycombe Wanderers contributed to the final result.
Town beat the league leaders 3-2, ending the Chairboys' 18-match unbeaten start to the League Two season in the process.
A delighted Waddock said: "There were some tough decisions to be made regarding the team and I feel that they were the right ones after I went to watch Wycombe play Macclesfield Town in midweek.
"It was an extremely exciting game and we gave ourselves a fantastic platform to go on and win the match with the two-goal cushion in the first half.
"It was a wonderful effort from our players but credit to Wycombe who got back into it. They're an excellent side but we've given a good account of ourselves."
