Shots snap up Hopkinson

Aldershot Town boss Gary Waddock has persuaded the former Plymouth Argyle teenager Bobby Hopkinson to sign non-contract terms at the Recreation Ground.

Hopkinson, who has been playing for Tiverton Town recently, impressed the Shots boss in the pre-season matches at Alton Town and Camberley Town.

Waddock said: "Bobby and his family have shown a lot of commitment and we'll give him an opportunity to perform.

"Bobby did well in the pre-season campaign in the matches that he played. He's a young lad who is still learning the game and his is a good footballer.

"He'll feature in the reserve team outing versus Brentford. We welcome Bobby to the club."
