Shots sign two defenders

Aldershot Town have completed the signings of defenders John Halls and Adam Hinshelwood after successful trials.

Halls has penned a one-year contract while Hinshelwood has agreed a two-year deal at the Recreation Ground.

Twenty-seven-year-old Halls was released by Brentford at the end of last season after making 23 appearances for the Bees.

Hinshelwood, 25, was released by Brighton at the end of last term after spending a loan spell at Lewes.

Shots boss Gary Waddock said: "They're both experienced players and we have a young squad, so they're good signings for us.

"I'm really pleased to have got them both. We've now made four signings and I'd like one more in but the budget will dictate that."
