Aldershot Town goalkeeper Mikhael Jaimez-Ruiz and midfielder Scott Donnelly have both signed new one-year contracts with the League Two club.

The duo were used mainly in back-up roles last season, but are highly thought of by Shots boss Gary Waddock.

He told the club's official website: "I am pleased that both players have signed for another year.

"Mikhael did well in our first season in the Football League. He was understudy to Nikki Bull, but he did well when called upon and did a first-class job.

"Scott started the season off well and then was in and out of the side through injuries.

"He is a talented young man who now has the chance to kick on when he comes back to pre-season. He has the capability to fulfil his potential."
