Sandell to stay with Town

Aldershot Town have agreed to sign Salisbury City winger Andy Sandell on an 18-month contract after a successful loan spell.

Financially troubled Salisbury had gifted Town with Sandell in November in a bid to ease their wage bill and, after impressing at the Recreation Ground, the deal has been made permanent.

As part of the deal, Aldershot have loaned youngster Dave Winfield to Salisbury for one month as the defender bids to return to fitness following a knee problem.

Sandell has played a key role in Aldershot's rise up the League Two table, being involved in all of Town's five wins since the middle of November.
