Riza secures Shots deal

Aldershot Town have signed striker Omer Riza on a short-term deal running until the end of the season.

The 30-year-old left Shrewsbury Town in January and has impressed while on trial with the Shots.

Manager Kevin Dillon told the club's official website: "With John Grant joining Oxford United earlier this week it was important that we signed Omer to provide good competition up front.

"He has been at the club on a trial basis for the last three-and-a-half weeks and I have liked what I have seen.

"He is a goalscorer and hungry to succeed and this is his opportunity to stake a claim for something more permanent come the end of the season."
