Payne Remains But Doig Leaves

Following the news that midfielder Luke Guttridge has departed the club, there's further news on two other players.

With Luke Guttridge leaving the club today, The Shots have confirmed that a dealhas been agreed with Oxford United to keep midfielder Josh Payne at the EBB Stadium for the remainder of the season.

Speaking to the clubs official website, boss Dean Holdsworth said: “Josh has been champing at the bit to play for the club and give everything that he can and I am looking forward to him stepping into that role.”Meanwhile however, the club confirmed that defender Chris Doig has left the club after his short term agreement came to an end.

Doig is believed to be training with Northampton Town.
