Holdsworth hails Shots spirit

Dean Holdsworth hailed the spirit and togetherness of his Aldershot squad as he celebrated his first away win since taking charge in January. The Shots added to Cheltenham`s woes on home soil with a deserved 2-1 victory to make it back-to-back wins and four games unbeaten. It was also the first time Holdsworth had tasted success on his travels with the club in seven attempts - drawing five of his previous six on the road."We've learnt together and are a growing as a group of people and the team spirit is spot on," he said."They've dug in at the end. Credit to Cheltenham, they have pushed and pushed. Albeit they got a lucky goal and it would have been terrible for the lads to come away with a draw after keeping them under wraps, putting two good goals away and working hard for it."The fact it was a back-to-back win was the most pleasing thing. I think this was my first away win with the club so we are talking and communicating really well and the most important thing is they are learning and enjoying it because they are seeing the rewards."As a manager you talk to people and ask them to trust you and that winning behaviour which we've seen over 90 minutes is creeping in, which is a great sign. The belief is there, the ability is certainly there and now they are really enjoying it."
