Doug Agrees New Deal

Doug Bergqvist is set to remain with Aldershot Town for even longer.

19-year old Douglas Bergqvist has agreed a contract extension which will keep him at the EBB Stadium until June 2014.

Speaking to the clubs official website, manager Dean Holdsworth said:  “I am absolutely delighted to reward Doug with this news.

"He possesses great attributes and attitude and knows he has to be patient. He has a good future ahead of him”.

Having had loan spells with Thatcham Town, Dorechester Town and Farnborough during recent seasons, the player added:  "I am really enjoying my time at Aldershot and progressing through the youth ranks has been good for me.

"I want to push on and eventually obtain a first team spot and am doing everything I can to achieve that.

"The loan experience that I had at Farnborough was important for me and it may be that I need to go out and play first team football again to continue the my development."
