Davies targets play-off push

On-loan Aldershot Town midfielder Scott Davies sees no reason why Gary Waddock's side can't reach the play-offs this term.

The Shots are in the top half of the League Two table after securing promotion from the Blue Square Premier League last season.

He told the club's official website: "I want to get into a play-off position as soon as I can really and so do the lads too.

"Although some people believe we gained a point against Grimsby I view it as two points dropped.

"However, the performance in the second half was much better and we could have gone on and won the match.

"We aren't far off the play-off places and I think that we're on an upturn and the next three games that we have are all matches that we're capable of winning and hopefully we can achieve that."
